Supporting Small, Independent Farmers who produce All Natural products is good for you, good for the environment, and good for the planet. It just makes sense.
Our Beef Cattle are raised on a small family farm on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, with plenty of room to roam and sunshine. We promise to deliver no gmo's, no antibiotics, and no hormones, ever. USDA inspected and butchered locally, the difference is obvious.
Local farms make better living.
Welcome to the family. When you buy from us, you are supporting an independent farmer. In turn, also helping to contribute to the original American Way.
Visit us at the Easton, MD Farmer's Market and take home your favorite cuts of non-gmo, hormone and antibiotic free beef. It's just makes sense doesn't it?
Give the gift of Beef! Yes! Coming soon, MHF will offer Butcher Boxes on recurring subscriptions, perfect for seasonal or year round giving and receiving.
The architectural design and historical significance of Marble Head is fascinating. When we purchased this farm, we uncovered more and more about the unique elements of the house, the history, and this place as a real producing and working farm during the 1700's, 1800's, and 1900's.
Just the archives we have read about Marblehead (as it is also listed on several documents), underscore the importance of this entire parcel within Caroline County, the Eastern Shore and Maryland, including political history. It is really fascinating, especially if you love history!
If you've ever watched the television show from the 1970's, Green Acres, then you might suspect that is our story... It is, but it's not.
"Green Acres is the place to be. Farm livin' is the life for me. Land spreadin' out so far and wide . Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside.
New York is where I'd rather stay. I get allergic smelling hay. I just adore a penthouse view.
Dah-ling I love you but give me Park Avenue.
The chores. ...The stores. ...Fresh air. ...Times Square
You are my wife. Good bye, city life. Green Acres we are there."
First of all, we are from Philadelphia, so there's that. But, there is a lot more to the story of Marble Head Farm and our desire to move out of the city. It earnestly began when we had the opportunity to restore a beautiful and abandoned piece of history. Now, it has become much more. It's about preserving a historic property, returning it to its former use and intention, and creating a sustainable way of life, for our family, for farming families, and for your family too.
